Your Gift
On behalf of my team, THANK YOU so much for the bibles that you so graciously provided. We trust that our Lord will use His Word mightily in each home and heart.
(Mark and Mom)
(Amos and Akankwasa: this was Amos' first bible)
As I prepare to leave, it is a blessing to know that every member of my team can now read and share God's word in their own language daily.
We are serving the people of Southwest Uganda, in a place called Buremba, Kiruhura. Our service involves water - clean and living. Our purpose is to bring hope - physically and spiritually - to the sick and lost.
Our job is to teach community members how to build water filters, water tanks, and proper shallow wells. These water systems improve health by decreasing the transmission of water-borne diseases - specifically saving the lives of young children.
Integrated into our clean water projects are what I like to call living water projects. We tell Water Stories found in the Bible to help communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ. One story we share is the "Samarian woman at the well" where Jesus teaches about the living water He offers which will satisfy our souls forever.
Most importantly, we want our community to know and accept God's great love for them. Please join us in prayer as we live out this journey that Christ set before us.
To Him be all the glory!
Prayer requests
For Herbert as he begins living out his new "Christian" life
That God would bless me with meaningful relationships in the field
For patience, gentleness and wisdom with my staff
That God would be the center of our work - every day
