God desires to be with you.

"Come now, my love. My lovely one, come.

For you, the winter has passed, the snows are over and gone, the flowers appear in the land, the season of joyful songs has come. The cooing of the turtledove is heard in our land.

Come now, my love. My beloved, come.

Let me see your face. And let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet and your face is beautiful.

Come now, my love, my lovely one, come."

Song 2:10-14 NJB

Imagine this:

There He is... the One... standing across the way, talking to someone familiar. He's so attentive, His demeanor so relaxed... He laughs a jolly laugh as though no one is looking. With a twinkle in His eye He looks up and does a double take when He spots you! Your eyes meet and He beams radiantly, smiling from ear to ear. Your heart pounds as you realize that the moment you have been waiting for your entire life has finally arrived. Your Love, your Joy, your Hope... your True Husband is standing before you! He stops and politely excuses Himself from His coversation, then starts to run toward you with outstretched arms. You, in turn, run excitedly to Him, noticing nothing but Him. You rush at eachother and meet in the long anticipated embrace. He whispers those words, in your ear, you've longed to hear since that
blessed day He plucked you up as His own, "Well done my good and faithful servant! I've been waiting for you!" You are speechless as you stare into the eyes of your Savior.

Mel, I think of this future day when I hear scripture that speaks of God's love for His bride! Thanks for posting it!
